Enrollment Agreement

This Enrollment Agreement is the checkout-facing agreement a family accepts — by checking a box — before completing payment for any Launchpad STEM Academy service, online or in-person. It works together with, and does not replace, the full Terms of Service & Policies (cancellation, no-show, refund, and conduct rules in full detail) and the separately signed Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver, required before a student's first in-person session in addition to this Agreement.

By checking the acceptance box at checkout, the enrolling parent/guardian (or the adult student, if 18+) agrees to this Enrollment Agreement and the full Terms of Service & Policies as a package.

1. Parties

This Agreement is entered into between the enrolling parent or legal guardian — or, for a student age 18 or older, the student themselves — ("Family") and Launchpad STEM Academy ("we," "us," "our"), at the time of booking and checkout for any paid service.

2. Enrollment Details

Completed automatically by the booking/checkout system at the time of purchase:

  • Student name: captured at checkout
  • Service tier: STEM Tutoring | SAT/ACT Math Prep | College & Career Advising | Resume Review | Interview Preparation | Resume Review + Interview Prep Combo | Summer Internship Referral
  • Format: 1-on-1 | Group (in-person only, once available)
  • Delivery: Online | In-person (once the physical location opens)
  • Package: Single session | 5-Pack | 10-Pack | 3-Pack (Advising/Resume/Interview)
  • Session cadence: set with the assigned tutor/advisor after enrollment — see Section 3
  • Price charged: the price published and in effect at the moment of checkout — see Section 4

3. Services & Session Cadence

Launchpad STEM Academy delivers the services listed in Section 2, as published at launchpadstemacademy.com. Session frequency and day/time are set collaboratively with the assigned tutor or advisor following enrollment, based on the family's availability, the service selected, and tutor capacity. Cohort-based programs (e.g., a future SAT/ACT prep cohort) instead follow a fixed schedule communicated in writing at enrollment, with make-up provisions consistent with Section 5.

Current services, formats, and published pricing are available at launchpadstemacademy.com/pricing and may change over time; the price in effect at the moment of checkout applies to that specific booking.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is collected at checkout through our third-party payment processor (Stripe). Launchpad STEM Academy does not store full payment card numbers.
  • Full payment is due at the time of booking unless another arrangement is confirmed in writing in advance.
  • Packages (5-Pack, 10-Pack, 3-Pack) never expire. Sessions remain available on the account until used, subject to the No-Show and Late Cancellation rules in Section 5.
  • Sessions and credits are non-transferable. Packages are tied to the purchasing family/student account and may not be given, sold, or transferred to another family or student without prior written approval, except as provided under the Launch Together referral program.

5. Cancellation, No-Show & Refund Policy

Full detail, including the in-person waiting-area and weather-closure provisions, is in the Terms of Service & Policies. The core rules, identical for online and in-person sessions:

A session credit is deducted from the account at the time a session is scheduled.

  • Free cancel / reschedule: 24+ hours' notice before the session — the deducted credit is returned in full, unlimited times, no penalty.
  • Late cancellation: less than 24 hours' notice — the deducted credit is forfeited, no refund/credit.
  • No-show: no notice, or not joined/arrived within 15 minutes of start — the deducted credit is forfeited, no refund/credit.
  • Refunds: credit-only, never cash — except an unused/unstarted package, or when Launchpad STEM Academy cancels a specific session (both below). Unused/returned package sessions never expire.
  • Unused & unstarted package: if no session in a purchased package has been used yet, request a full cash refund within 14 days of purchase. Once any session is attended, the package reverts to credit-only (no partial refunds) — remaining sessions stay on the account as non-expiring credit.
  • If Launchpad STEM Academy cancels: free makeup session offered, deducted credit remains on the account — or, upon request, the family may instead forfeit that one session's credit for a cash refund. If the session was part of a package, the refund is limited to that one session's pro-rated share of the package price (package price ÷ number of sessions); the rest of the package is unaffected. This option does not apply to a family's own late cancellation or no-show.
  • Summer Internship Referral fee ($249): non-refundable once the intake interview is completed.

6. Outcome Disclaimers

Launchpad STEM Academy provides educational tutoring, test preparation, and advising services. We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes — including grade improvement, test scores, college admissions decisions, or internship placement. These outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including the student's own effort, third-party admissions/hiring decisions, and circumstances beyond instruction quality. Our liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the amount paid for the specific session(s) or package giving rise to the claim, to the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, except where the signed Liability Waiver provides otherwise for in-person, premises-related claims.

7. Minors & Parental Consent

  • For a student under 18, the enrolling parent or legal guardian is the account holder of record and the party responsible under this Agreement. They confirm they have legal authority to enroll the student and to consent to sessions — online (which may include live video and screen sharing) and, once available, in-person.
  • A student age 18 or older may enroll and agree to this Agreement on their own behalf.
  • In-person enrollment additionally requires a signed Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver before the student's first on-site session. This Agreement alone does not satisfy that requirement.

8. Acknowledgment & Acceptance

By checking the acceptance box at checkout and completing payment, the Family confirms that:

  • They are the parent or legal guardian of the enrolled student, or — if enrolling themselves — they are 18 years of age or older;
  • They have read and agree to this Enrollment Agreement and the full Terms of Service & Policies, including the Cancellation, No-Show, and Refund rules in Section 5;
  • They understand that in-person attendance additionally requires a signed Liability Waiver before the student's first on-site session, and that this checkout acceptance does not substitute for it;
  • They understand that Launchpad STEM Academy does not guarantee specific academic outcomes (Section 6).

9. Checkout Acceptance

The consent text and checkbox shown at checkout, directly above the "Pay" / "Complete Enrollment" button:

Before you pay: By checking this box, I confirm I've read and agree to Launchpad STEM Academy's Enrollment Agreement and Terms of Service & Policies, including the 24-hour cancellation policy and credit-only refund policy. I confirm I am the parent or legal guardian of the enrolled student, or I am 18 years of age or older and enrolling myself.

I agree — required to complete payment.

For in-person bookings, a second line appears beneath the checkbox: in-person attendance requires a separate signed Liability Waiver before the student's first on-site session. You'll be prompted to complete it after checkout if it isn't already on file.

10. Changes to This Agreement

Launchpad STEM Academy may update this Agreement and the Terms of Service & Policies from time to time, including pricing, cancellation windows, and program availability. Material changes will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date. This Agreement, as accepted at the time of a specific booking, governs that booking; continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms for future bookings.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
